Spring is finally here, I can smell it in the air. The daffodils in my garden are now blooming and it’s bringing me so much joy!
At this time of year I always like my home interiors to echo what’s going on outside and bring in lots of fresh air and sunshine into my room schemes.
Here are my top five tips on how to freshen up your home this springtime!
1. Bring the outside inside
Your garden is the best source of inspiration for your home in the spring. At this time of year there are always so many pretty colours. Pull in some of the wonderful greens, daffodil yellows and Fuschia pinks for a lovely fresh scheme. Connecting to the outside and adding the calming elements of nature will help to create a relaxing, stress-free and happy vibe and a space you enjoy spending time in.

2. Get something growing
Spring means growing, and your home should reflect this. Fill your rooms with lots of greenery – plants, little cacti, windowsill herb gardens, and team these up with fresh flowers for lovely scents.
3. Declutter your furniture
That once a year “spring clean” we all do is the perfect opportunity for you to have a little re-shuffle and declutter. Getting rid of any pieces of furniture you don’t need will bring lots of fresh energy into your home. Also, minimising furniture and accessories can make your interior feel more spacious, thus lighter and brighter!
5. Introduce floral prints + shapes
A little flower power will really help you to enhance that feeling of spring. You can keep it nice and simple with a plant pot, print, cushion, candle or vase.
